Our school is fortunate to host a School Chaplain, Ms Samantha (Sam) Curran, who is employed by YouthCARE WA.

The Chaplain’s focus is in non-denominational pastoral care.

Sam coordinates a team of mentors under the Ed Connect School Mentor Program to provide “one on one” encouragement to students.

The Monday Breakfast Club is a great start to the week for any students who wish to participate. Breakfast is served from 8:30am in the Hive, with a choice of Spaghetti or Baked Bean Toasties, Pikelets, Fruit cups, Cereal and a warm Milo. Supplies are gratefully accepted from Foodbank and Coles Vasse. Special thanks to these businesses and the community volunteers who assist Sam every Monday morning.

Sam makes contact with all new students within the first few weeks of their arrival and monitors how they are settling in to ensure a smooth transition. Sam spends recess and lunch in the playground or Chaplain’s Room interacting with students and facilitating group activities during the year, for students such as; DrumBeat, Friendology, Yoyo Fun, Hula Hoops, Chess, Arts & Crafts and more.

Sam attends our school four days a week during term, supporting the well-being of our school community. Parents in need of a little extra support are welcome to call 9746-3700 to book an appointment.
