Vasse Students Awarded In Speak Up Competition 1
The South West Speak Up Competition was run by the Busselton Freemasons on Tuesday the 13th of August.
Three Vasse Primary School year six students have been working hard during lunch times and at home to prepare a speech which they presented at the competition on Tuesday. Isabella’s presentation was all about beaching whales, why they do it and how people can help them. Malie’s presentation was very informative and explained the significance of caves and how cave systems are formed.
Amber gave an inspiring presentation on Vincent Lingiari and the Wave Hill Walk Off. We checked in with how we were feeling before the competition and we all felt quite nervous and excited. Our students competed against 28 other students from 7 schools in the South West region, they were amazing! The competition was tough and our students did a brilliant job. The students all received awards and Amber finished in the top 6, earning her a place in the preliminary finals being held in Perth in a few weeks time. Well done girls!  Ms. S Pearce
