The Early Childhood Centre at Vasse Primary School consists of 7 classrooms.
Our aim is to develop each individual child’s social, emotional, physical and academic capabilities through opportunities for the children to be active participants in their learning. The planned and purposeful play of the Walker Learning Approach combined with the explicit teaching of Literacy, Numeracy and all other curriculum areas drives the teaching and learning in Kindergarten and Pre-primary. We value the process of learning and skill development rather than the end product. Physical Education promotes motor and social skills development which the children are able to transfer to their play in our Nature Play playground.
In 2018, we have begun our journey of introducing Digital Technologies throughout our curriculum. Following a full and enjoyable experience in Kindergarten or Pre-Primary, our Transition Program enables the children to make a positive transition into their next year level.
