Vasse in Verse – Fantastic Finalists

Over the last few weeks, students in years 1 – 6 have been busy learning and reciting poems to their classmates. Winners from each class were chosen and took part in their year level finals in the Hive. One student was chosen from each year level to compete at a special assembly for the whole school on Fri 19 Nov. Our judges, the breathtaking Mrs Bigwood, the Perfect Mrs Pollard and the Radiant Mrs Reeves had an extremely hard task of choosing the “best of the best” from 6 very talented Poets, to crown the 2021 Winner of Vasse in Verse. Congratulations to our finalists;

  • Year 5 – Emma P
  • Year 6 – Rowan W
The judges departed to deliberate and choose the winner… And drum roll, please… Congratulations to Rowan W for his poem “go to bed” – brilliantly adapted and recited with the passion of a frustrated parent, Rowan had the audience enthralled. Rowan received the Vasse in Verse Trophy and Book Award.
