2023 Faction Sports Carnival Week
Week 2 of Term 4 Vasse Primary held its annual Faction Sports (Athletics) Carnival Week. During the week we had our Jumps and Throw events and on Friday 20 October we had our Track and Team Games events.
The Jumps and Throw Events consisted of students from Year 1 – 6 competing in Long Jump and/or Triple Jump and Throw (the furthest). Well done to these students
Special mention to the Sustainability Green Team who promoted a sustainable Sports Carnival to reduce single-use items (such as streamers and pom poms) by purchasing hairspray and zinc to decorate students and parents for a gold coin donation to the P&C. This way they were able to recycle the aerosol cans correctly. The reduction in rubbish at the end of the carnival was also notable.
Once again, well done to all our Vasse students for all your efforts on the day and your ability to perform in all individual and team events. A Big THANK YOU to all our Vasse PS Staff, students and parents, especially the Vasse PS P&C and Lexie and Shannon in the canteen, parents who baked for the P&C Cake stall, and parent volunteer helpers for your ongoing support at the Faction Sports (Athletics) Carnival.
